The Hydrodyna MBR-300 is a complete 300 m³/day package plant engineered to deliver steady, reuse-ready effluent from challenging municipal or high-COD industrial wastewater. By integrating a robust biological process with an absolute barrier of submerged hollow-fiber membranes, the MBR-300 consistently achieves ≥95% COD and ∼90% total nitrogen removal.

Package Membrane Bioreactor (MBR-300) — 300 m³/day

Snapshot

• Application: Municipal wastewater or high-COD industrial wastewater (e.g., food & beverage, trade waste–intensive sites)
• Capacity: 300 m³/day
• Process train: Balance tank → 1 mm fine screen → Anoxic → Aerobic → MBR (submerged hollow-fiber) → Post-chlorination (as required)
• Performance: ≥95% COD removal, ~90% total nitrogen (TN) removal
• Standards: Engineered to Australian standards and local regulatory requirements
• Hydrodyna role: In-house process design, delivery, commissioning
• Design assurance: Validated with BioWin® dynamic modelling (sizing, kinetics, setpoints)
Why MBR-300

When influent is variable—or simply tough—MBR-300 delivers steady, reuse-ready effluent. It’s sized for mid-scale loads while keeping membranes clean and biology stable, so you get predictable quality day in, day out.

How it works

• Equalisation & protection: A balance tank smooths hydraulic and load swings; a 1 mm screen shields downstream equipment.
• Biology that adapts: Anoxic + aerobic zones tuned for carbon and nitrogen removal.
• Solid barrier: Submerged hollow-fiber membranes provide absolute solids separation and a strong pathogen barrier—ideal as RO feed if Class A recycled water is required.
• Chemistry on autopilot: Automatic chemical dosing for nutrient control and membrane protection, with a dedicated CIP regime.

Brains & safeguards

• Instrumentation: Continuous ORP, pH, MLSS, DO, free chlorine, turbidity for tight process control.
• Controls: PLC/SCADA with alarms and trends; operating envelopes defined for flux, air scour, and CIP triggers.
• Sludge management: Stable SRT via controlled wasting and sludge collection sized for industrial/municipal variability.

Proven performance

• Treatment efficiency: ≥95% COD removal and ~90% TN removal, producing clear, low-turbidity effluent suitable for washing/irrigation and as RO feed.
• Resilience: Demonstrated ability to damp fluctuations in influent flow, temperature, COD, and TN, maintaining membrane permeability and effluent quality.
• Operational reliability: Anticipated low fouling rates under the specified envelope, extending membrane life and reducing OPEX.

Outcome

A compact, MBR-300 package plant—designed and BioWin-validated in-house by Hydrodyna—that handles municipal or high-COD industrial wastewater with confidence, meets Australian requirements, and integrates seamlessly upstream of RO for Class A recycled water production when required.
